The USI UNESCO Chair is delighted to announce the release of a new publication titled “Governing Heritage and Creativity,” authored by Florence Graezer Bideau and Peter Bille Larsen.
The publication is a collection of essays, curated by interdisciplinary scholars and practitioners, sheds light on the intricacies of decision-making processes concerning heritage and creativity, encompassing their values and interrelations. Notably, Silvia de Ascaniis and Lorenzo Cantoni have contributed to the discourse by examining the Benedictine Convent of St. John in Müstair—a project initiated by the USI UNESCO Chair in 2022.
The publication navigates beyond the conventional dichotomy of authenticity versus change, aiming for a nuanced comprehension of governance, creativity, and heritage. This framework holds significance across various forms of heritage, whether delineated as cultural, natural, or both.
