PhD student, Puspita Ayu Permatasari, talked about the Indonesian Tourism Market as a new incoming Muslim market at the BIT- International Travel Exhibition in Milan (February 10 – 12, 2019. Indonesia is the 4th largest population in the world with 227 million Muslim inhabitants. It bears great potential for Halal Tourism. The talk discussed Halal tourism and how to adapt Italy’s cultural and gastronomic resources, to cater to the needs of Muslim Indonesian outbound tourists.
